For Smile Makeover

Veneers (Composite / Porcelain)

At Square Mile Dental Centre we offer a range of treatment options. If you are struggling with small teeth, gaps, discoloured / old composites or damaged veneers, we can create stunning results with our new veneers.

Many of our patients prefer this option over other treatment solutions as veneers often prove to be stronger and more natural looking. Dental treatments are ever evolving, and thanks to modern, technical advancements, they are easier than ever to install. This means that for many people, veneers are still the most desirable option.

With enhanced skills and knowledge, your existing teeth will require minimal to no preparation or adjustment to accommodate the final porcelain veneers. We use the latest digital techniques in conjunction with the best dental laboratories to personally plan your perfect smile. After designing a smile that complements and enhances the rest of the face, we make a 3-D printed trial set for you to wear so you can see how the proposed changes will look before you make a final decision. If you love the result, we carefully design the perfect fit and have beautiful porcelain veneers made specifically for you to create your wonderful new set of teeth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are veneers permanent?

They usually last between 10 and 15 years, but they can last longer with proper care. They will need to be replaced with new veneers following the end of their lifespan.

What are the follow up or aftercare procedures?

You should wait an hour and a half before eating after your veneers are fitted. Besides this, continue to practise proper dental care including brushing and flossing, regular dental checkups and avoiding the overconsumption of food and drink that may stain or damage the teeth.

Do veneers hurt?

They should not be painful or uncomfortable, so if you experience this you should book an appointment with the experts at Square Mile Dental Centre. As the process of fitting requires filing the enamel, it may cause minor discomfort, but no sedation is needed.

What are the risks associated?

The most crucial thing to consider when getting veneers is that they are not reversible and they will need to be replaced with new veneers eventually. Staining is also a possibility, so proper dental hygiene should always be followed. Loss of vitality of the tooth is another risk and you may need to consider the possibility of undergoing further treatments, such as root canal, at a later date. If you have other underlying dental issues such as teeth-grinding, or bruxism, this can cause damage to your veneers and should be addressed. You can read about our treatments for teeth-grinding here.
