I am Sonam, a registered Specialist Oral Surgeon on the GDC Specialist Register. I grew up in Kenya and came to London to study Dentistry at King’s College London where I gained my BDS, and have subsequently gone on to obtain the MFDS and the MOralSurg (RCSEng) qualifications.
I am a practicing Oral Surgeon at Guy’s Hospital the UK’s largest tertiary centre and have previously worked in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead. I also work in private practice providing a kind, caring and comfortable environment for my patient whilst delivering complex surgical procedures.
My formal training as an Oral Surgeon was at Guys and St Thomas’ Foundation Trust where I have developed a sub-speciality interest in Implants and Oncology. It is in these areas that I already have research publications and continue to contribute to the international cutting edge of care in these areas.
Having played squash internationally for the Kenyan national team at school I try to maintain her fitness alongside a love of cooking and travelling to explore new food and cultures. I am the dentist to talk to about managing a love of chocolate & ice-cream with dental health!!!
