For Missing Teeth
Dental Implants
Losing a tooth can be mentally and physically traumatic at any age. For most people, wearing a removable denture is not their desired option, and bridges can be very destructive to neighbouring teeth, long term. Dental implants can be a wonderful solution to replace teeth and require excellent standards and experience, particularly with grafting procedures to provide long term results. The procedure requires a titanium screw to be fixed into the jawbone which acts as a replacement for the root. Once the screw has had time to fuse to the surrounding bone, it will be strong enough for a false tooth to then be fitted in place.
The new tooth will be specially created to blend in with the rest of your teeth, and will be of a similar size, shape and colour.
At Square Mile Dental Centre, world-renowned lecturer Sanjay Sethi has been replacing missing teeth and providing bespoke implant-retained crowns to restore stunning natural looking teeth for the past 15 years. Dr. Amit Patel also has a special interest in complex restorative and implant dentistry. His wealth of experience and dental expertise ensures that treatments are performed in an ethical and comfortable manner. Whether it is a molar tooth or a front tooth in the smile, we have all your options covered with a five-year guarantee included in the price.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Am I a good candidate for a dental implant?
-
Thanks to the expert training and care of Sanjay Sethi and Dr. Amit Patel on our team, dental implants are possible for many who have never thought this option is suitable for them. In some cases a bone graft is needed which will necessitate a longer process, but it will still produce a flawless result.
- How long does the process take?
-
An initial consultation will determine whether a bone graft is needed and if it is not, the dentist will begin preparing the implant and installing the titanium screw. Fitting the implant itself usually only takes 1 – 2 hours per tooth, ensuring a perfect new smile in remarkable time.
- What are the follow up or aftercare procedures?
-
You may need to take 1 or 2 days off work following the procedure to enable rest and healing. It may be uncomfortable to eat normally for a few days following your implant and we will provide advice on which foods will be soft and less painful to eat. Following this, you should be able to return to all your daily activities as normal, with expert check-ups form our clinical team.
- Will it hurt?
-
You should not feel any pain during the dental implant procedure as we will administer an appropriate anaesthetic. Our expert team will advise you on how to avoid excess pain during the healing process, and we are always available should you need any further help or advice.
